The fiber couplers allow a direct diode fiber coupling of single emitters with only one lens element. The couplers consist of a monolithic glass block with two opposite crossed cylindrical surfaces and mounting surfaces. The light of the fast and slow axes is collimated by one cylindrical lens to produce an almost symmetrical focus.
Coupling the light of multiple emitters, bars or mini-bars into an optical fibre generally requires complex optical systems with a variety of components. LIMO has developed a unique cost-effective optical solution for mini-bars which consists of one single component only.

The compact couplers of LIMO allow a direct diode fiber coupling of single emitters with only one lens element. The couplers can be used for blue diode lasers with a wavelength between 420nm and 470nm which will be applied in laser material processing and for pumping of lasers.
