Data Protection

LIMO GmbH (hereinafter called “LIMO”) is pleased that you have visited our website and are interested in our company and our products. It is important to us to protect your personal data throughout the entire business process. We want you to feel secure when you visit our internet pages. Below you will find our policy regarding the protection of your personal data. Please read this information carefully.

1. Collection and processing of data
We collect, store and use your personal data in strict compliance with legal provisions. We use this information as part of our efforts to conduct and enhance our business relationship with you. This allows us to fulfill our obligations to you regarding the provision of service, consulting and support for the purpose of establishing, executing and terminating a contractual obligation, provided that you have granted us consent to do so.

When you visit our web pages, our web servers always temporarily save for security purposes the connection data of the computer connecting to our site, a list of the web pages that you visit within our site, the date and duration of your visit, the identification data of the type of browser and operating system used as well as the website through which you linked to our site. Aside from this, personal information is not collected unless you provide this data voluntarily, e.g. as part of a registration, survey, competition, fulfilment of contract or an information request via a contact form.

2. Utilization and passing on of personal data
We use the personal data which you have made available to us exclusively for technical administration of the web pages and to meet your wishes and requests – thus primarily for fulfilment of a contract concluded with you or to answer your queries. LIMO does not share or otherwise disseminate your personal data to third parties unless it is necessary for properly handling your query or unless this is required for the purpose of the contract or unless you have given express consent to do so. For instance, it may be necessary to pass on your address and order data to our contractors when you order products.

3. Use of cookies
The internet pages make use of “cookies”, i.e. short text files that are stored on your computer and which are saved by your browser. These do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies help us to determine how frequently our internet pages are accessed as well as the number of users. They also help us design our offers so that they are as user-friendly and secure as possible for you. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer which your browser stores.

On the one hand, we use so-called “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted after you leave our website. On the other, we use “permanent cookies” to retain information about visitors who repeatedly access one of our internet pages. The purpose of these cookies is to be able to offer you an optimal user guidance as well as to recognize your browser at the next visit. The content of a permanent cookie is limited to an identification number. Your name and IP address, etc. are not saved. We do not create an individual profile of your online activities. “Permanent cookies” are stored on your end device until you delete them.

You can set your browser to ask you each time whether to accept a cookie, to accept cookies only for certain websites or to always reject cookies as well as automatically delete any cookies when your browser is closed. However, deactivating the use of cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

4. Contact form
If you use a contact form to submit queries to us, the information you provide (including your contact details) will only be used to process the query as well as to assist in follow-up queries, and will also be stored for this purpose.

LIMO does not share or otherwise disseminate your personal data to third parties unless this is required to properly handle your query or necessary for the purpose of the contract. For instance, it may be necessary to share your address and order data with our contractors when you order products.

5. Registration on this website
You can register on our website (using the Login button in the top right-hand corner) to use additional functions offered on the site. The data you enter in doing so will only be used by us to apply the specific offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested in the registration process must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will deny your registration.

For important changes, such as those affecting the scope of an offer, or if modifications are necessary for technical reasons, we will use the email address providing during registration to notify you accordingly.

The data entered during registration will be processed based on your consent (Article 6 (1) letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)). You may withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal notification by email. The lawfulness of any data processing that has already taken place shall not be affected by the withdrawal of your consent.

We will store the data collected during registration for as long as you remain registered on our website, after which we will delete the data. Legally required data storage periods shall not be affected thereby.

6. Newsletter
Our newsletter is designed to provide you with information about LIMO, our products and services as well as upcoming events (e.g. trade fairs).

If you wish to subscribe to the LIMO newsletter then we need your email address as well as information that allows us to confirm your ownership of the indicated email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. In publishing our newsletter, we cooperate with the online marketing company CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Muehlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede, Germany (data protection), to whom we may pass on personal data for this agreed purpose only, and with whom we have a data processing agreement (DPA) for data protection.

Your IP address, the date of registration and time of registration as well as your email address will all be saved when you subscribe to the newsletter. This data is stored solely for the purposes of verification in the case that a third-party improperly uses an email address to subscribe to the newsletter without the knowledge of the rightful owner of the address.

Subscription takes place based on a double opt-in mechanism in which the data are encrypted using SSL. Because this is required by law as proof of consent, the data can remain legally stored for as long as the newsletter emails are sent based on said consent; storage for any period extending beyond this is legal for as long as we can assume that proof may still be demanded.

CleverReach uses the reCaptcha service from Google to determine whether a specific entry in our contact or newsletter form is made by a human or a computer. Google uses the following data to verify whether you are a human or a computer: the IP address of the device used, the page that you are visiting within our site and in which the Captcha feature is integrated, the date and duration of your visit, the identification data for the type of browser and operating system used, the Google account (if you are logged into Google), mouse movements over the reCaptcha fields, and questions asking you to identify certain images. The legal basis for the data processing described above is Article 6 (1) letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. There exists on the part of CleverReach a legitimate interest in this data processing for the purpose of ensuring the security of this website and protecting us against automated entries (attacks).

Should you choose to receive our newsletter, please be aware that we use the conversion tracking feature from CleverReach. As part of this feature, the opening and click rates for our newsletter are collected and stored for statistical analysis.

You may withdraw consent to the storage of such data, your email address as well as its use as the target address for the newsletter at any time simply by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by sending an email to newsletter(at)

7. Inclusion of third-party services and contents
It may happen that third-party contents such as YouTube videos, cartographic material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are included in this online offer. Without an address it is impossible to send such contents to the browser of the respective user. We take care only to permit contents from third-party providers who utilize an IP address merely to supply their contents. However, please note that we have no influence on whether a third-party provider stores IP addresses for statistical purposes.
